2005 Season Awards

The 2005 Awards were held as usual during the Christmas meal at the Plough on wednesday 14th December. Ken Mottram returned to the role of MC and in the abscence of the club President, former player and Vice President Roy Burnett presented the awards.

The Awards

Bowling (the D C Everett tankard) - Sameer Patel
Batting (the R P Dean tankard) - Brad Williams
Player of the Year - Brad Williams
Catch of the Season (the Wilson Trophy) - Mark Bateman
Most Improved (the Dusty Miller Memoprial trophy) - Anuj Bhardwaj
Clubman of the Year (Stanley Curtis Memorial Cup) - Brad Williams

Sameer took 42 wkts @ 11.90
Brad scored 1065 runs @ 53.25

Mark's stunning instinctive full length diving catch at cover point in the second game at Chingford edged out Lee's similar effort in the first game at Chingford and Brad's legside take while standing up to Anuj in the game against Chaseville.

Anuj was chosen as the Most Improved Player of the season ahead of Rohan who had an excellent finish to the season but the award was given to Anuj who has had his best season since he joined the club with both bat and ball. (241 runs @ 18.54 and 33 wickets @ 16.39)

The Clubman of the Year award went to Brad Williams for his efforts on the club website.
